What's this..?
So, I finally decided to give Let's Play's a try. While this one isn't strictly speaking the best game to do a Let's Play of, since there's minimal story, and videos just come out to be funny things that happen during it, I feel like it's a good place to start while I try to find my own place and way of doing things. First I have to learn the editing side, then I can really get into making nice Let's Plays, and I've got a few ideas of what games I should do to set myself apart.
Whut?
That said, Left 4 Dead is a great co-op game that has one of the simplest and best gameplay mechanics ever created: shooting things. It takes place two weeks after an infection that completely changed the entire population into raving zombies wanting blood and brains. You take control of four survivors banded together in an attempt to survive by any means possible, and that usually means killing anything that moves.
Who are you?!
Me? I'm not really anybody. I mean, I suppose I was around at Penny Arcade a while back when the
Star Ruler thread was being passed about. I'm the composer for that game, and most people say that the
soundtrack is lovely. Not only that, but my
other music is good too. But enough about me, let's talk about you.
Me?
Yes, you. If you'd like to participate... let me know. I'm totally up for bringing in new people each chapter... Heck, we could even replay a few chapters, because they appear more than once through Left 4 Dead 1 and 2. All I require is that you've got skype, an hour or two of free time, and a decent internet connection.
Get on with it!
I'm not sure what else there is to say about a game as simple as that, but maybe it would just be better for you to watch and see for yourself how it all went down. Here's the first set, showing the intro cinematic and the first campaign: No Mercy.
