Quick question about Kinect

My girlfriend got one for us, and so far she loves it. I am impressed as well. She likes it so much that she wants to get it for her mother, who is very large (roughly five feet tall and maybe 300 pounds). We just want to make sure it'll work for her before buying it, and we also don't want to embarass her by inviting her over and testing it out on our system.

Is there any info out there on this? Will Kinect have trouble recognizing her because she is relatively round?

My cousin got one and it has no trouble recognizing him. He's not 5' and 300 pounds, but he's pretty short and a solid 250. Looking around, the only trouble with overweight players is actually staying active long enough to complete some of the more rigorous games, not having the device actually recognize them.

Good, now the only issue is finding one for her. They seem to be out of stock everywhere!

Side question: Does anyone know of some awesome Kinect games in development? These mini-games are fun enough, but I would love to hear about a full-fledged boxing game in the works, or a real game actually built with Kinect in mind. Thanks.

Minigames / Casual games are all that will be coming out for the Kinect for a while. It's a very cool system in some respects, but it completely lacks fine control, and overall has very slow response time.

And if it has issues, it won't just be with your gf's mum. It tends to be all sorts of wonky if the lighting isn't just perfect, and occasionally has trouble discerning between say, lamps, chairs, and people.
