ClaDun! I searched for a ClaDun thread, and found "Where's the ClaDun thread?" So I'll start one.
From what I'm told, it's like Diablo, but 8-bit in style. I dunno, I never played Diablo. It's dungeon crawling, and you can make custom characters right down to their heads. There's an option to switch between 8-bit style soundtrack, and a "newer" instrumental version. Also, the ability to map the select button to take screenshots that save to the PSP memory.
Anyone else playing this one? Care to share screenshots and/or custom characters?
I'll be buying this tomorrow, I'm super psyched to see how it is. Information on this is super rare and I have an overwhelming desire to give this shot, and I love the stuff NIS usually puts out. I'm still waiting for a port of La Pucelle and a translation of Phantom Brave so I can have the vast majority of their major work on a portable system.
Oh, and maybe Makai Kingdom, I poured a ton of time into that game.

Origin is the exact same as my Steam, in case you're needing a Support or Assault in BF3.
It's a REALLY fun game but I burned out on it pretty fast. I totally hated all the crap in the dungeons that slow you down: weeds, oil, etc. It just made it harder then necessary to get around and you'd miss a lot of the gold.
Plus, you have to level a main as a sub to use it as a main and vice versa? What kind of stupid idea is that?
At the bar below go to special then go to Nanograms: Paint by Numbers. Solve the puzzle then BOOM. Ya gets character data for your games. The only puzzle I managed to solve is the fifth one for the Fallen Angel Flonne.
ANYWHO, this seems fun, just a dungeon crawler where you kill enemies, then the boss of the dungeon which unlocks the exit of the dungeon, then you will be awarded EXP. Theres theres the whole magic circle grid that helps your main character get boosted stats with the help of sub characters.
Its all complex to start out with but you get the hang of it when the game progresses. All the combinations you can do with the magic circle makes it sometimes a had decision where you want to position your subs for the stat increase for your main. @_@
OP would also be better if it included things like what systems this is for. The game description interests me but I have no idea if I own the appropriate equipment. To google I go I guess.
EDIT: Ah, it's for PSP. Oh well, guess I'll have to pass then.
OP, you should probably follow the advice you were given in the first thread.

I had the kind of friends in high school that sat there playing games while anyone else had to sit and watch. Before the PSP/DS days where you could pop one out and keep yourself entertained while everyone chilled. I watched one guy play so much Diablo that I guess I associated it with boredom and never played it.
So far, in ClaDun I've made 4 characters: myself, my wife, PSPete (a dude with a PS controller button for a head that changes O/X/triangle/square depending on his facing direction), and Richard... a dude with a giant penis for a head.
Yeah, but the idea doesn't work. That way the only thing you can get is a character that's mediocre in both roles or terrible. It doesn't encourage, it forces.
Except everyone who played it while it was still just Japanese says it does work.
It doesn't. You can only level a character to excel at being a Main if you never play that character as a main. Of course the game is playable anyway but, like the other poster said, he completely ignored the system and it worked out fine.
Thus, what the hell is the point of even doing it?
Because the game was made based off the idea that you'd be swapping around characters. It is literally designed to do that. I guess if you wanted to, you could level a character to 99 as a sub to make it the "perfect" main. But there's nothing in the game made for that and you'd be better off swapping around characters to make them more balanced.

This is more like Izuna than Diablo. It's a roguelike.
Not sure. I dabbled with it on the PSN, and it's a lot like Izuna, down to the random panel traps. Just much prettier.
But does it have boob jokes?
Seriously, I consider that a favorable comparison. I get much enjoyment from the Izuna games. Hard enough to be challenging but not as brutally punishing as most roguelikes.
Too bad I don't have a PSP. I'd grab this in a second.
Characters used as mains only level up in certain stats, while those used as subs level up in others. The subs also act as human shields, and their stats can be used to boost your main in different areas, depending on MC and location within the MC. This is probably a paragraph I should've added in the first post.
Now that that's out of the way, I suppose if you feel like a game is actually forcing you to do something, you probably shouldn't be playing. Typically, I get a good layout going, level up my main for a bit, get slaughtered in a new dungeon, and switch to a new main with the SKILLZ to get through it. The system seems to work for me just fine. When a character fails, it's because I have them set up for melee combat, and I get to a dungeon that's loaded with enemies that can only be damaged by magic.
You have to download the adhoc Party software on to your PS3, you can find it in the PSN Store. It basically allows the PSN to act as a virtual adhoc network, allowing you to play adhoc games with people you aren't in the same room with.

Yeah I completely ignore that and just picked Pudding as my main and stick everyone else as a sub for the magic circles.
I see words here but I just can't make any sense of them.
Well, played and Diablo make sense. The rest....
yeah I'm lost.

It's the PSP. Download only.

Yeah.
First post edited. Better? Yes? Anything else?
I dunno who I want to make, but I'll figure that out soon.

One that is meant to encourage the player to rotate what character they're using?

The PS3 has to use its wifi connection to communicate with the PSP.
