It's winter!
And unlike deer and rabbits, humans wear clothes in winter! So let's talk about them. As we talk about them, you all can serve my ulterior motive: the motive that I need to pick out my christmas wish-list.
Here's a bunch of stuff I just pulled off the Urban Outfitter's site (hatas gonna hate):
This or this
this (but it's $$$),
Also, definitely this:
I'm a sucker for unnecessary side-buttons.
Maybe this, as I especially like the color.
And this is kind of boring, but I'd probably wear it a lot.
But, uh, I can't have them all.
Also, here is a post wherein it is explained
how to dress yourself. You should probably check it if you don't know how to dress yourself.
GIS gave me this as the number one result for fashion:
But silly google, it's winter. So what are we to do?
You all know the fashion drill:

Ugh, lemme fix that.
Edit: done
Belated but if you choose a region, then hit his links it'll work fine. I hate sites that are designed like that.
It just took me to the default page for the UK site. Most likely a quirk of the site for people not sharing regions.
The side buttons would be neat for a "sometimes I'll wear this when I'm in the mood" but for a daily coat, no thanks.
Pic: Regardless, I wanted something that would actually keep me warm, and those jackets in the OP seem a little flimsy for the average winter up here. The fabric on this thing is like armor plating.
Hoodies on top of hoodies ain't cuttin' it anymore. Every damn year I tell myself I'll buy a real coat.
I think this is the damn year.
edit: WTF also is that guy pulling out a gun or something?
but I live in Florida, where winter fashion is actually fall fashion
This is aided by the fact that I only have to be outside for seconds at a time.
Hence, I don't own any heavy jackets.. and I intend to keep it that way.

No. Nobody.
You over there? The one saying he actually looks good in that color? No, you don't.
My mind is fucking blown.
Fits me like champ, I look like fucking wolverine in this jacket.
We can dare to dream, adytum.
coppery-red hair, pale skin. it works for me!
My dad recently retired from city transit (he was a bus driver) and in their annual uniform orders they could get these "driving gloves" that are actually pretty cool, I find. They're actually equestrian riding gloves--black, tight-fitting, but allow you to still feel what you're holding/gripping.
I really like them because I don't really want gloves necessarily to keep my hands warm, but more to keep me from coming into direct contact with really cold and possibly dirty surfaces (car door handles, outdoor staircase railings, steering wheels, etc.). I like them!
These are black gloves with velcro closing at the openings. I have them "set" tight but they stretch well enough I can slip my hands in and out without having to mess with the velcro.
I love living in Canada and I love the winter, but I just don't understand the people who can stand shivering their butts off in the name of being fashionable all season. Oh well, I'm not complaining or anything. The ladies look great in their winter gear.
How does it feel to be so wrong?
Does it hurt? Is there a slight itching where the being-correct should be?
I spend my winters mostly in jeans and long-sleeve cotton shirts, sometimes long-sleeve button-ups left untucked.
This is pretty much me during the winter months:
I have maybe a dozen of those shirts, all various colors. I like color.
i've been layering up for fall with my casual clothes
button-down, loosened tie, quarter-zip sweater, tweed sport coat, jeans or khakis, leather boots
that kind of thing
Oh, I'm never wrong.
Will can tell you that.
edit: oh god will I just got that post, so burn

Advice is all still generally the same--buy and wear clothes that are quality made and actually fit you, going a large as you need to to satisfy the second bit there.
I believe there are some specific bits, like going with vertical stripes instead of horizontal and certain types of suits or jackets (double-breasted VS single, etc.) may be more flattering on larger men. I don't really follow them though (as in, I'm not aware of many of them), but I'm sure someone else can come up with them.
Really, just buy things that actually fit. Don't try to squeeze into something because you're embarrassed by how many Xs should be in front of the L or whatever.
Horizontal stripes and lots of spandex.
What Laos said is right - buy stuff that fits and looks nice. You can look pretty stylish no matter how big you are. I think that, aside from a few self-evident things here and there, larger folks can wear largely the same things as their thinner brethren.
You wear a tie when going casual?
Is this an east coast thing?
I actually look pretty good in a tie, but I never wear one because I would look hilariously overdressed everywhere I went.
I think it's more an Irond Will thing.
I've been meaning to ask you something kind of embarrassing. I feel like I'm finally growing up and dislike how boxers fit my body, and want to graduate to boxer briefs. In the words of Ze Frank, I want to "combine the adjustment strap technology of the boxer with the fertility reduction of the brief", and boxers just don't do it for me any more.
I have a few pair of Hanes bb's, but they're boring. I was wondering where I should shop to find them with nice colors/patterns? The ones at Macy's were either the boring Hanes kind, or had stupid designs plastered on the fabric/waistband. So where do I go?
