Sorry anyone who saw the previous version of this. Tabbed browsing is my enemy.

So anyway, I have been thinking about getting a name for myself to put music out under. But i've been coming up dry. Any thoughts?

So far I'm mostly doing solo acoustic and electric guitars with a bit of singing depending on the song and I guess I can post some stuff if you guys think it might help nailing down the tone of your ideas.

    Putting up some of the music would be helpful... but yeah, something like "The ______ Band" or "So and so and the _____ Band" would be pretty great for a solo act.

    Honestly its kinda hard to help you here because alot of bands name themselves after something that directly relates to their lives..

    We dont know much about you other than your pretty good at singing and guitar.

    Postpartum Opression...i like this name because your music is kind of slow, and if you dont mind, sad like a rainy day..

    this names all i got for now ill try to think of some others and if this feel isnt what your going for let me know what kind of name you are aiming for.8-) :lol:

    Hm.. that is a good point. But maybe some of the suggestions will help inspire something more related to myself?

    I like that name but it seems pretty aggressive for the kind of music i've been putting out. If I'm ever in a rock band I might come back to that one :)

    Now that i think of it...yes it is very aggressive haha

    Could just use your actual name plus something

    EX: Mike Jones and the monkeys....Erictyl Disfunction and the curious case of issues + the drummer

    i would suggest using the second band name, if you used that i would care how good or bad your are..your names just awesome.

    One problem with using my name is that there is already a female singer going around using it without my permission. So what if her name is same as mine, that is no excuse!

    Hmm... nothing I guess. I don't think there's any other bands/ artists out there who use it. I guess i've been using this alias for so long it doesn't seem like an alias lol.

    what do you want to get out of this?

    are you looking to sell your music and make money out of it? have it lead you to other oppertunities or just have it out there as a brand that you can point to as yours?

    Well, I'd like to start performing on a stage sometime and so I'd like to have a good name that people can remember. I don't really care about making money per-say, but if people kinda dig what I do, I'd like them to be able to remember who I am.

    Alright, I think I settled on "The lowly man" - I almost went with Lonely but... seeing as how that describes me too accurately I didn't want to name my band-ego that.
