This week's episode was weird, but I think I liked it. It had a different tone than anything else in the series, very pensive. I wonder if there was a new director at the helm.

This was my favorite episode of this series
After watching last season all together on DVD
To be honest I got tired of it
It's a great show but it stayed very superficial
Focused on gags and had a very repetitive format
This episode threw away almost all of that and I think was better for it
This was the first time I saw people have emotions that didn't seem to have "air quotes" around them
Someone on another forum made an observation which was something along the lines of how awkward it was to be the sober one when everyone else is finding everything sooooo hilarious because they were drinking...

Hoping they revisit Shirley's alcoholism in a later character development plot-line
I don't know if it's necessarily alcoholism, but I'm sure they'll come back to it

Oh, yeah it might not be. It definitely seemed like a bad time. Oh yeah I guess if it was straight alcoholism she wouldn't have wanted to go to any bars.
But Farscape was so, so much better than Stargate.
By like, lightyears.
Really? It had muppets and a guy with a beak nose. I couldnt get over that.
It was wonderfully, gloriously mad. Trippy as hell, emotionally powerful and at times really high concept.
Seriously the episodes where Crichton has gone off the rails are brilliantly written and acted, like when everyone is being driven paranoid by an alien who has booked passage on their ship. Or when he is wounded and unconscious, and dreaming of the crew through the medium of looney toons esque animation. Ben Browder and Claudia Black in particular were absolutely great in their roles.
And the prosthetics and all aliens having australian accents was part of the appeal for me.
A truly fantastic science fiction show.

Stargate got bad when it introduced the farscape actors as an amalgam of oneals personality
HA HA at Chang the Snowman. I shouldn't watch any other clips from this episode if they release them. Watching unspoiled.
Loved this past episode [Mixology]. They have these characters down so well, and continue to grow them in interesting ways- doing things we haven't seen them do before but which are perfectly in character.
And I'm liking Jeff/Britta again this past episode. They're not always great together, but when they are, they are. [Britta highlight for me is still the Schmitty episode.]

ugh that one was so annoying. Those stupid kids being annoying was not funny. It was just annoying. And then Jeff and Britta being annoying back. More annoying!

Farscape got bad after it O'Neal became commander of the base.
I mean it was no fault of Browder and Black it was just that she show wasn't fresh anymore. They had run out of ideas. After the Goa'uld I was like "meh."

Yeah he wanted to spend more time with his family also.
But the whole deal just kind of sucked because Stargate was great for a while

Yes, but I can accept annoying kids as just being annoying and deal with this.
What I mean is, Britta and Jeff seemed believably good friends and close in that episode, with Britta coming up with "You should totally bang that guy's mom!" That's just a great moment for her in terms of not-being-a-buzzkill-ness.

The next episode is about Troy's birthday.
Troy does not celebrate birthdays. This could be his first one, kinda.
I really liked it.

because god forbid a night of drinking should end poorly on a television show, since that never ever happens in real life
but I really liked it
