The story is told as if it were a text adventure game. Each command you click underneath the comic is really just a next button. All the commands for the first year of the story were suggested by Homestuck readers on the MSPA forum. A few weeks before Homestuck's anniversary, Andrew locked all the suggestion boxes and took over command-authoring. He still gets input from the community in subtle and unpredictable ways.

I've made a Sburb interface in the Beta where player one controls the pointer and deploying things (although so far I only have the Cruxtruder) and player two controls a John-bot. Clicking on a player or a 'locked' object makes the cursor flash red, objects you pick up can be rotated and layer-swapped or deleted. Working on a way to change the floorplan of a house is hard though..

Actually I think CCG, FCG, and Jade are each taking turns at auspstice with each other. Jade is ausptice from keeping CCG and FCG from becoming full on kismesis. FCG is also keeping CCG and Jade from becoming kismesis. And CCG is keeping FCG and Jade from being matesprits.
