Ok, I'm coming up on my new every two discount for Verizon, and I'm debating between 3 phones:
LG VX8600 - LG's version of the razr, but I like it's look better and a friend said it's pretty nice. I currently have the vx8100 and it's similar to it and also allows me to read text messages on the face like my current phone does, so that's a bonus.
Opinions?
$30
Samsung SCH-i730 (PDA phone)
I know next to nothing about it, other than it comes with Windows mobile 2003se, but has an available upgrade to 5.0 (newest). Also accepts SD cards if I'm reading this right, so that's nice. It uses a stylus to navigate, which is a bonus.
Anyone have an opinion on this?
$100
Motorola Q (PDA phone)
It's slim like the vx8600, so that's a plus, but no stylus, only directional pad and keyboard input, so that's a downside (unless I'm reading this wrong). Comes with mobile 5.0 so don't have to upgrade.
Opinions?
$100 (free after $100MIR)
I will not be getting a data plan, and will not be using any data features. I just miss my PDA and have software for Windows mobile (so not looking at Palm OS) that I would like to use again. I'm not looking forward to the extra bulk of a pda phone (which is why I'm liking the vx8600) but not having two devices would be nice.
Basically, if you've used these or own these I'd like to get some opinions on if they are nice, comfortable, slow, etc. Most motorola's I've owned are sluggish and not that great, but that was a few years ago, and it could have changed. LG has served me well the past 3 years, so liking them right now. Samsung is good, though I hate their "Word" text input, but with the qwerty keyboard, I wouldn't have to worry about that on a pda phone.
thanks!
