Ugh, I hate how MS handles controller assignments. My wireless controller died in the middle of gameplay, and I'm out of batteries. I try and switch to the wired controller, but I have to sign out of Xbox Live with the dead controller, then sign back in with the wired controller, rejoin the game, and hope no one took my spot.

What is so hard about having a menu option like the PS3 does?

We started selling this MadCatz controller branded with black ops images. Adjustable sensitivity on the fly with two assignable buttons next to the battery. It sounds like the shit-tastic FPS Master I had for the oxbox, but I'm tempted to get it just because it has red led rings around the joysticks.

32-10 on Domination Jungle and the game only saved the first 2 minutes of the match. Lame!

Hey - what's the best way to team up with you guys? I was thinking of doing the clan tag, but I get the impression that that doesn't work so hot. Mainly, I wouldn't mind teaming up with some not-shitheads, but I wasn't sure who the best usernames to send invites to were, and I feel like a jackass just spamming them out.

The clan tag doesn't actually do anything other than put letters in front of your name.

Any/every jackass can wear a PA tag, and there is no clan functionality in the game.

So, the real question is, what do you play on?

Oh! I meant the metatag. Sorry! I'm on the 360.

I was picking up a new TV for my sons room and saw this and figured why not as I had lost a controller in my recent move. I'm not one for wired controllers but the stick does have a different feel to it and the finish on the controller is spiffy, kinda rubbery feeling.

The rubbery grip was another selling point, but after my fight stick shitting out after less than an hour of use (given, I had every intention of replacing the internals anyways) I'm wary of another madcatz purchase.

Masterkey has the most arbitrary damage. I can instakill guys from a mile out sometimes, but do nothing to someone point blank.

Its stupid that the shotguns have no damage multipliers. If you're trying to shoot someone below you, you can't do full damage to them because the pellets will only hit their head and not the rest of their body.

There are a lot of PA players on the 360 pretty much every night. Sometimes, we have to get two teams going, because we either don't want to do Ground War, or we've got more than 9 players ready to go. Having said that, it's probably about time we discuss laying down some ground rules, because right now, it's kind of chaotic: people join games in progress to see if we have room, then end up on the other team and spend the whole game intentionally taking down our kill streaks and whatnot, and I can't imagine that's fun for anyone; or people jump into party chat while they're waiting, and play Nazi Zombies while our team is pushing on Objectives.

I love that the PA community has such a strong presence on the 360, because we can always get a solid crew going, but we really need to tighten it up a bit, I think. We can't just have people constantly bouncing in and out of the channels, or sitting in the party while they wait for their turn to come in -- which, realistically, might be a while.

Totally not bagging on anyone. I had a good time tonight.

But yeah, maybe let's get some discussion on this.

I'm pissed at the game for not saving a Demolition on Havana I played today. We lost the host about 3/4 of the way through so I thought it might happen. I started the defense round out with my SPAS class LW/SA/Marathon and ran past B to the bar and just started shooting motherfuckers and got 3 or 4 kills. I'm not sure because my kills from the last round carried over, but it was kind of awesome and I really wanted to watch it over again.

Yes my NAT is open, yes I can play other 360 games. I was just playing Halo: Reach.

I haven't quite figured that out, either. Sometimes it feels like the SPAS-12 from MW2, and I smoke a dude rather handily, and other times, I dump four shots into a guy, and nothing happens. It makes me sad, because I was rather excited for M16 + Masterkey.

Killing lots of dudes. Work wonders in Domination or Demolition. A Grim Reaper or Death Machine in Jungle can single-handedly lock down point B.

Saw this on Something awful, in regards to server reserved slots:
In your my.gameservers.com control panel, you will be able to edit your reservedslots.txt configuration file. The file should be written in the following format:

    password1
    password2
    password3
    password4
    password5

Currently, 5 reserved slots are supported.

The server will keep the list of reserved slots. Each slot is identified by a unique password specified in the reservedslots.txt file. If a server is full and a client joins with the password, the slot for that password is used. A random client is picked and kicked. If two clients use the same password, only the first client gets the reserved slot.

Yeah, I don't know... I don't mind having an extra dude in our party bullshitting, but when 5 of us are playing Dom, and the other 3 are playing Assassin's Creed, it gets a bit silly. (I know, I joined that party late :P)

My only complaint is playing a 6-man dom, and having the other team fill up with PA guys. I understand the urge to join someone's session in progress and fuck with them, lord knows I've done it, but sometimes.... ugh.

Whatever though, like you said, we've got a buttload of doodz playing BlOps right now, and obviously everyone wants to play with everyone. We'll just have to keep in mind that it's our party, and if we get annoyed, lock that shit down.
