My PSU is having a fit. Need help picking new one.
Sooo, I don't think my PSU is long for this world. The fan doesn't seem to be doing very much anymore, and it's generating an extraordinary level of heat. This has lead to a certain level of.. instability in my pc.
So! I leave it to you fine gentlemen to pick out a PSU from here for me to purchase tomorrow. I know nothing about PSU's except that 70 degree heat = BAD.
My pc as is now;
Gigabyte M61PME-S2 Motherboard.
AMD 64X2 5000+ Dual Core Processor.
4GB of DDR2 Ram.
Powercolour HD 5750 1GB GPU.
What am I looking for in a PSU?
Quality of manufacturer is the big one. Good builds last longer and die less often.
Power (500W or so) is also important, but not much more since it doesn't sound like you are overclocking your processor or running more than one video card.
