Upgraded XP to 7 Computer....Now Looking to Reformat
So I had XP Home installed, went ahead and upgraded to Windows 7 Home (or whatever the basic version is) about 6 months ago.
I'm now looking to upgrade my machine (mobo, RAM & video card) and a reinstall is in order. The thing is, I don't have anything to really...install...I have the product key for the upgrade, and I have my original XP install disk, but I'm not sure how I can go about this without an upgrade disk...A Google search seems to turn up nothing. I went through their whole Digital River system when I did this, their site says this:
"How do I re-download software or obtain the product key that I have already purchased?
The product key is available on the confirmation page and your confirmation e-mail. To re-download software you have already purchased within the 30 days of your original purchase, you will need to go to your order information page and press the download button."
Obviously I'm outside the timeframe here, am I doomed to have to purchase another upgrade?
