It is a nice ship, and arguably an upgrade...but we still owe money on the other, and Raif isn't too keen on the idea of a Hutt sending bounty hunters after him for a ship that he doesn't even have on top of a second Hutt after him for making off with millions of credits worth of his property (basing the amount they're worth on the value hinted at in the entry for Krayt Dragon pearls in the Jedi Academy book).
I wouldn't be opposed to selling Credit's Edge after some extensive repairs and paying off the rest of what we owe for it. Or something.

there is only one hutt involved, as far as you know, and your "paying" off the ship by doing these odd jobs. although based on the way the last comm call went you might not owe anything to anyone as dead guys don't uaually collect debts

Ah, well, I assumed the guy who owned the ship was a hutt, having been obtained on Nar Shadaa. Guess that's what I get for assuming. Am I the only one who worries about this stuff? I mean, I'll stop if there's no reason to worry about it.

I was thinking we would have flushed his pieces out of a garbage disposal or something whilst cleaning up the ship during our several day wait on Vash.

Just the pieces that didn't fit down the toilet:wink:
Really she didn't cut him into too many small bits, so all of it would be cargo jettison'd.

At first I didn't see the second line there, you guys both almost got darkside points for that, killing a guy in self defense is one thing stuffing his dead body down the toilet is something totally different

Killing poor Jimmy was self-defense? Maybe I'm misreading it but it seemed like that situation could have been resolved without cutting him in pieces

Either way, I hope it's ok I'm saying these things are assumed; I just figured after a few days, cauterized or not the body is going to start to rot, and would be a problem that would be taken care of.

    Dibs on Captain's Quarters, btw.

and yes it was self defense he was more than likely gonna kill all of you

Heir had the same idea, that bodies should be dispossed of and dealt with "off screen"

and quarters can be decided however you want

hi, everybody! (hi, dr. nick!) I found this thread after realizing that I wouldn't be able to play SAGA for a while with the meat-space gaming group (tied up in a d20 Modern game, a Cyberpunk game, and an 1890s Pulp Adventure game, which is turning out to be one of the most fun games we've done in a while, but that's somewhat irrelevant). I got the main book and Starships of the Galaxy at the local gaming store thanks to a giftmas present (I love family members who know I game :D).

anyway, I pm'd rucdoc, he said to introduce myself, so here I am! I've been sort-of lurking on the forums for about a year or so, occasionally posting in the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. thread, but reading CF and G&T nearly every day. :) I'm familiar with d20, just not the SAGA-specifics (but I'm reading the book now and it seems to be pretty streamlined).

Seems like you guys are doing pretty good without a soldier, but is there anything you think you need to fill out the group, class- or skill-wise? The first idea that popped into my head was a computer slicer.

Welcome dj! If you're familiar with d20 systems you'll pick up on Saga Edition pretty quickly.
A noble or soldier trained and possibly skill focused in Use Computer wouldn't go amiss, but really, whatever you'd have the most fun with works just fine!

Edit: I should also add that we don't currently have a droid in the party, and something about that just seems wrong, so if it's something you were considering..

Here is fine, but I will have to think about it, seeing as how even the greatest programmers forget a semicolon sometimes and the whole world stops working. and while we are on the subject did you want to extract any data from the credits edge systems before you left, sensor data, hyperspace, coordinates, change the comm codes, ect?

I really as a player have no idea how many things i have to secure. But whatever a semi skilled computer user make it harder to steal. I was thinking encrypting the navigation computer so they can't access the engine systems, like secure with a program if i can the doors and just everything i can secure using a computer. The data can be left, I am securing it from theft not actually covering our tracks.

after some reading and thought, you can reroll if you think you can get a higher result, :) as you have time and are under no hostile conditions. also with coding going back over your code is a normal process. I am however going to impose a -2 for the roll of a 1 on the previous attempt.

I think you are meta-gaming a bit, rucdoc. Yeah, it can be used against us, but really, it seems kinda dickish to be going through this. Let's just go with the game and not worrying about if we paid the electric bills, clean the dishes and had any sleep in the last few days.

And that sounds like you are looking for little details to screw us over. That's Dirty GMing. If you want us to check for traps every time we take a step, fine. But you are just slowing things down and as someone who likes to RP more than roll dice, I can't stand playing like that.

I'm sorry you feel that way sami hopefully we talked it out a bit on slashnet and you are feeling less like that.

for your information about the current event here is the link to order 37 I'm giving this as a reference so you as players know sort of whats going on. however, this is happening alot earlier than it should have happened, it's your fault, understand no matter what you did, when you went to land on bellasa order 37 was going to happen, this is the plot device :) I intended to hit you with it all along. it contrived and mean but it should be fun.

I will intro our new player in a little bit, right now his character is indisposed with a few problems that are not relevant to the game in any way, or himself. but revealing any of that right now would require you to act in certain ways, which I don't want to do, I want you to be able to play how you want to and shape the story around that.

Ok, I am cool with what's going on in general, and I understand you didn't want to wait for me to continue things, but as a rule of thumb Raif wouldn't want to draw enough attention to himself when he stands to lose millions of credits in the process. Probably would have at least complied with the order to supply identification. Either way, Raif's going to defend that box with his life if inspectors find it.
