Jell-o shot! [solved]

This should be pretty simple, but my google-fu is weak. I made small jell-o shot for a party, made them all in little plastic shooter. trouble is that when I tested them, I realized they don't just... fall in my mouth. Did I miss an important step? was I supposed to put something in the platic glass? I don't know!

the question is: is there a trick to unmolding them easily or should I just go get lots of little spoon?

They're usually made in little disposable paper or plastic cups, so you can squeeze the cup to make the jello fall out. If you made them in hard plastic or glass cups, fill a 9x13 (or whatever size you have) pan with hot water, and sit all the little cups in it before the party, it should melt just a bit of jello and make them fall out easily.

Or just stick some cocktail sticks in the shots, use them to slice round the edge and they should fall right out. That's how I've always done it anyway...

I've never had a jello shot where I didn't have to use my tongue to get it all out. That's perfectly normal.

Thanks! im trying the hot water way, will test soon. I made them in the solid plastic cup, and even with loads of tongue action :winky: they would not fall. I'll use paper cup or something next time!

If you use paper dixie cups, you can just rip em and eat them that way. If you know anyone that works at a hospital, absolute best jello shooter cup is those tiny plastic cups they put pills in to give them out.

A lot of liquor stores sell the pill cups by the 50 or 100, usually by where all the solo cups and such are.
