Me and my friends enjoy a good board game every now and then and I've been looking at this Arkham Horror game. I was just wondering if anyone has played it and if they liked it or not. It definitely looks like it could be a really interesting game.

Not only do I own it, but someone in my Alma Mater's regular gaming group plays it every time we get together for extended gaming sessions. Hell, I'm serious enough about the game to have had my Father-in-law make me one of these to hold all the fun bits for ease of setup.

It is a fantastic game. Expect to lose. A lot. And have fun doing it. Ask around the tabletop gaming thread for more info, and I'm sure you'll find lots of fans.

The expansions make the game a hell of a lot more complex - and fun, in most cases - but the basic box will keep you busy for a while. It's also conducive to solo play. You will need a decent chunk of time to play, however.

Honestly, the only games I think we play more are Battlestar Galactica and Dominion. Dominion is great for shorter play sessions, but a completely different game.
