I'm looking for a CD player more substantial than the walkman style, but at the same time easy to use for an older woman with arthritis. Ideally it should have a permanent plug in to the wall, no need for batteries or anything. Since my grandpa has been in quite poor health for a while now, and it's driving her nuts that she can't do much other than watch over him; I'd love to provide her some home recreation.
The other part of this request is that it must play burned CDs. I want to make her a few mixes to start with and then keep surprising her with more. I've been searching but I haven't come up with anything worth a damn. By the way, I'm not looking for some kind of crazy surround sound system or Bose quality or anything, these are more than she cares about and too expensive for me.
Does anyone have experience with home CD stereo systems that can play burned CDs?
