My kitty, Adam West, is sick. He's 8 months old, and is usually super active and affectionate. The last few days, however, he's been very lethargic. He sleeps way more than normal for the cat, and when he is awake seems pretty groggy.
He is still eating a decent amount of food, so that's good. He does appear to be a bit glassy-eyed as well.
I've scheduled a vet appointment for 1:00 today, just wanted to see if anyone had any ideas beforehand. Thanks.
Oh, and cute picture will be up shortly.
He's the gray kitty.

What you've described is pretty generic sick kitty behavior -- it could be any number of things. Making the vet appt. was the right thing to do.
Post again when you've got a diagnosis? I have years of experience with a sick cat (chronic pancreatitis and eye conditions) and may be able to offer more depending on what the professionals say.
Offer him a damp towel to lay on. If he is feeling hot, he might enjoy that. Or he may just go eww wet. But that was something my cat liked when he got ill. He also had a flipped on it's side cardboard box for him to sleep in that we would always keep in the same room as us. Because while he did want to do the typical kitty thing of hiding when feeling weak he also did not want to be alone and would come wobbling after us, eventually, if everyone left the room.
We had the exact same things with one of our little guys lately. Turns out he was running a fever, so the Vet gave him a shot of aleve for kitties, and some antibiotics to take home. 2-3 hours later was anight and day difference. He was back up and eating again.
Good luck, and I hope it is something easy like this.
Well the vet ruled out anything serious. She is running some bloodwork and I'll know more tomorrow.
However in the meantime, she gave me some antibiotics as he had a bit of a fever. I guess we'll see tomorrow if it's anything serious, but she doubted it was anything too crazy.

Here's hoping Mr. West is okay.
as long as he is eating drinking and using the box as normal i wouldn't worry too much
Ah well, the appointment is in a little under an hour. I'll find out one way or another.
Good luck Heir. Hope the kitty gets well.
