i did some work for a public defender office, they were generally pretty good natured people who were excellent at separating their work from their personal lives and happiness
it was nice to see
(except for a couple people who were clearly on their way to heart attack city)

My wife's a lawyer and the judges that she works for hate pro se people. The lesson I've learned from her is don't try to fuck around with the courts, just get a lawyer.
The real money is business consulting.
I would like to make 5-7k per week please.
Here is a bunch of stratagems that might save your companies' costs
Most of which you have already looked at before,
but hey Corporate hired us to make sure you knew.

They seriously go out of their way to make sure that pro se defendants fail just because they're so annoyed by them. And yeah, I've seen some of their "motions" and whelp, they sure are nonsense.
i was watching an episode from season 2 of the this american life tv show, and it was about a guy who was basically destroying his life with his obsession for the legal system. he was several years into a bunch of lawsuits he was doing pro se. it was really sad.

Going out of your way to make them fail is a bit much
They'll likely do that on their own

i've seen it both ways
if you're a jackass and just want to flood the court with papers and stupid nonsense, the judge will not cut you any slack and treat you like an attorney who should know better
but i've also seen judges (in appellate court, no less) compliment pro se people on their briefs and help them out a lot if the pro se person shows that they are just trying their best and are respectful
It's not like they do anything overt, they're just assholes to them and hold them to the strictest procedural rules. You're right though, they do a bang up job of failing.
Edit: I should say that these judges are senior civil judges, so they're all over 70 and either slightly cracked or just majorly don't give a fuck.

when they're written in crayon and the sender's address is Riker's Island
that's pretty funny
but also sad
they ask my why I'm not planning on taking criminal procedure
and I'm like
what on earth could possibly compel me to work in the criminal courts
What spring does with the cherry trees.
just cop shows
no way man
those people are all vampires
I am not kidding
i guess i should note that the pro se stuff i have read is all civil matters
so not really as much at stake as criminal stuff
I hate when that show is on because I always turn around when they call the one guy's name.
that's very informative
also leroy jethro may be the best first and middle names ever
sued his tits off, it was a lot of fun
looking back, the only reason I got away with it is because he tried to represent himself against me
he actually tried to call in sick to a hearing we were having because he failed to comply with the first court order I secured
pro tip: don't do that
I hate my last name, I make everyone call me by my first.
