I am searching for a science book (or books) to give as a Christmas gift. I am looking for something Chemistry related, but Biology or Physics works just as well. It should be around College entry level, and full with exercises and solutions, to be able to self-test. It is mostly intended to help with self-study as well as hoping to wet the appetite for college/university level stuff. Any suggestions are welcome !
While they are not explicitly text books I have always found the REA Problem Solvers and the Schaum's Outlines to be excellent sources of clear examples and problems with solutions.
