xbmc/ps3 media server problem

So I'm running xbmc on an original xbox and it handles pretty much all my video watching needs, It performs admirably with the exception that it cant handle HD video.

Enter ps3 media server, set to downscale my video collection, allowing me to watch whatever I want no matter the resolution.

The problem: I cant see any of the folders that ps3 media server should be displaying when I connect to it from my xbox.

The wierdness: If I go in first and browse the folders with a ps3 those folders then become visible on the regular xbox, but only those specific folders. Also I can view folders in ps3 media server when its running on my brothers computer just fine.

Additional info: The video server is running windows server 2003, my brothers computer is running windows seven

[edit] update: upgraded to the beta version of ps3 media server which now recognizes that xbmc is there but xbmc freezes when I try to connect to it, I suspect it is now a matter of messing around with different versions of xbmc til it cooperates.

Unfortunately, my experience is limited to the PS3 and Xbox 360. I'm barely aware of the media streaming options for the original Xbox.

Maybe check the TVersity forums and see if any adaptations have come around that work with XBMC?
