Query: Suicide rates by year in a specific profession

If I wanted to compare the suicide rates for say, architects or doctors in 1970 versus what they are in 2009-ish, are there any credible online resources to search?

Or am I at the mercy of google, and how good I am (or am not) at extracting this result via brute force.

Thanks!

The CDC might have the data you want, but you'll need to contact them directly

Its been a long time, but when I was interested in debunking the depressed dentist myth, I found Statistics Canada had everything I needed. I would suggest narrowing it down to a specific country, and then going to the statistics division of the government for that country. It's all recorded, and these days you should probably be able to find it online.
