    I got a response back from Steam about their system refusing to authenticate my card and the response was basically, "I've removed the lock on your account so you can make ONE MORE PURCHASE. But if the sale doesn't go through for any reason then the alert on your account from all the failed transactions earlier will lock it again and extend the alert period."

    Uh, hey your system fucked up and it's happening to other people as well. So explain to me why a fuckup in your system means I have an alert on my account that restricts the number of purchases?

    The moral of the story is to not read the forums while driving.... a shopping cart through a crowded organic food store with a bunch of fatties.
