External Hard Drive Help

So, I have this external hard drive, let's call it Steve. Anyway, Steve is formatted and has been used on my Mac for like, a year now, and is full of music and information I would like to keep. My mac, however, is on its last legs and I am looking to migrate the drive over to use with my Window's PC. I would like to do this while keeping the data intact. Is this even possible? Does anyone have any suggestions if it is NOT possible? Also, Steve is an iOmega 1T drive.

what filesystem is the drive formated with? you may need some sort of program like HFSExplorer to read the drive, but there's noting that will desolate the data just by plugging it into your windows box.

Okay, that allowed to me to read the files and transfer them to the computer, so I will just use that to transfer the files to a new external hard drive and then reformat. Thanks! This can be locked now.
