GPS + gravity

My GPS has one of those mounts with a thing you twist to kill the suction. I tried mounting it on my windshield, but it falls off after a few minutes.

Is there anything I can do to keep it from falling?

Wet the suction cup a little bit. It'll stick better.

Clean the glass with windex or rubbing alcohol, and wipe down the suction cup with a damp cloth (water only). Cleanliness is important for the sucker to stay stuck.

I'll second what Robman said. Mine falls at least once every day or so in the summer. Seems to stick better in the cold though. If i clean the window first, it will stick for a couple weeks.

Anyone ever try sticking it to the glass over the gauges? There's plenty of room over the part of the tachometer I'll never try to reach.
