Despite having a very small, strict budget, we were able to put together a good spread for Christmas eatin' this year. Most of which was already in our pantry or we only had to spend about 10 bucks for ingredients altogether. My parents brought the ham, thankfully, because there was no way we could afford one.
Cookies and chips and ritz crackers and pretzel sticks and pumpkin pie and rolls and cheese and pineapples and olives and pickles and deviled eggs and bean mix and carrots/onions in beef broth and green bean casserole and ham and assorted sparkling juices.
Ate so much yesterday and now we have a bunch of leftovers, yay!
5 different kinds of pies, two of them pecan. Turkey and ham, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn, lots of stuffing, 10 different kinds of cookies, some fudge, and gallons and gallons of tea.

That's a pretty good lookin' spread, and I love those candles.
It was just the two of us for Christmas, but I made a delicious pumpkin lasagna that could have fed at least 10. We'll be eating it all damn week. We also had chocolate christmas cake and five varieties of cookies. I'm about to start baking some coconut cupcakes in a few moments for a party tonight. Mmmm delicious coconut buttercream. My kitchenaid is getting much abuse this week.
Breakfast casserole in the morning, along with some hot chocolate, a seven layer salad in the afternoon, and then turkey, stuffing, and potatoes of some sort that my friends mother cooked in the evening.
I stuffed my face with lots of tamales, beans, and rice. I come from a large mexican family so every Christmas I have tamales to look forward to NOM NOM.
There was also a ham someone brought but I am not a huge fan so I didn't eat any. There was some home made mac n' cheese as well which was fuckin delicious.
And booze. My mom's boyfriend made this delicious warm drink that had brandy, apple cider, cinnamon and brown sugar I think. So fuckin tasty.
my grandma & grandpa made bbq burgers for bombs & i on christmas eve
then on christmas day we went to his friends place and had polish food ... the only one i dare try to recreate the phonetics of is 'kasha' which was blood sausage, essentially just blood & barley. and it was surprisingly good!
We had turkey, ham, stuffing, sweet potato souffle, amazing rolls made by my aunt, mashed potatoes, ham gravy and turkey gravy, and some things I didn't really care to eat but were probably really good.
My son is a year old, but my wife and mother-in-law set out cookies, milk, and carrot sticks (for the reindeer) anyway. Santa polished those off in a hurry.
Christmas Eve we had ham, fried chicken strips, green beans cooked in chicken broth, macaroni casserole, strawberry AND blueberry-based congealed salads (like fruit salad in jello)...there was other stuff, I think...squash casserole...more, but I was too busy eating it to stop and figure out what it was.
make loud noises and grow a stupid chin decoration?
little did I know
this turkey also had the powers of
invincibility
In that case it's still alive and will be out for your blood. Turkey a mano, locked in an epic battle until Judgment Day and trumpets sound.
I've had three Christmas dinners so far this week: two turkey and one pork. Next week we're gorging on the vol-au-vents that are going to be marked down massively in Waitrose.
Lost, I too received a box of truffles and loved it.
My Brother-in-Law made a Prime Rib roast with home-made au jus sauce. I had thirds.
candy as presents is totally awesome! my mom and sis are both teachers, so I came home for christmas to find like 2 dozen different boxes of cookies and candy their kids and parents gave them for the holidays. i was almost all candy-ed out
Mori's dad makes reaaaaally good beef jerky. I am chowing down on homemade beef jerky!
I miss my mother's Christmas spread, though. British Christmases are best.
(Yesterday we had grand marnier and nutella crepes, lamb chops, macaroni and cheese and salted asparagus and watercress, all good, but not very traditional!)
Your dinner looks delicious, Geek!

Combining some samurai chai mate and white avurdevic chai for some delicious tea-having.
Leftover ham with brown sugar bourbon glaze with taters for dinner later, yum
Oh yeah, also leftover apple crumble with creme fraiche gelato for dessert
We also had a homemade berry pie yesterday, I love all things fruit/crumble/pastry combined
