I found a kitten wandering outside my apartment last week as I was leaving for work. She's about 5 months old, no tags or chips, friendly, not too destructive, in good health (my girlfriend got her examined, treated for ear mites, and vaccinated), and it looks like we're going to keep her, provided she doesn't have a meltdown with one of our 2 other cats (one week, there's been some hissing, but no fights so far, looks workable).
We need names, though.
GF's cat is Rumour, she's gray and when she and her family got this kitty, they were in an apartment where pets weren't supposed to be allowed, hence "it's just a Rumour we have a cat."
My cat is Min, I adopted her from a shelter. She's very affectionate, can spend a long time curled up in my lap. Her previous family called her Jasmine, but I shortened it to Min after a character from the fantasy series Wheel of Time, who is often found snuggling with the hero.
Here is the little one who needs a name (first pic she was sequestered in the bathroom for a day while we got her checked out):
She's curious and active, but not as hyper as some kittens I've seen. She's really good at entertaining herself with rattle toys, the plastic ball in an enclosed track, loose shoelaces, etc. She'll come over and linger by your chair or hop up to be petted for a minute, but then scoot off again to do her own thing.
We'd rather not use a people-first-name, except...
Bonus points for a name that comes from fantasy or sci-fi (
Kaylee is on the table), is a concept (like Rumour), or is something to do with her appearance/coloring.

No... Spot!
Cimerone

Then you have Rumour and Demise.
I however must second Schrodinger.
Or Fang.
Feel free to use either.
That is perfect.
You'd also have Rumour and Demi. And You'd have to change Min's name to Bruce Willis.

We.. kinda like these. They're on the right track, just not quite clicking.
Didn't think of that for that reason. You get honorable mention for pulling off a WoT/bathroom joke.
Also now under consideration: Mirage.
You people!
Also:
Podkayne
Jaheira
Ripley
Leela
Hippolyta
Portia
BWAHAHA. If she chews your hair you can call her Nynaeve.
Kaylee is good and I also like Pixel. And with Pixel if she talks at you, you can respond with "blert".
Also works with "Octane"
From the Mass Effect series. Tali is a pretty cool name for a cat.
Pixsie/Pixel - Pikmin
wow
my ex used to give me this look all the time
I therefore recommend "Gaia"
Yeah, that's
straight up uncomfortable really
I say Jaina.
I endorse Mosey whole heartedly. (Just lost my Mosey after 19 years)
