[meetup] New Years New Jersey!

So hey, we have tossed around the possibility of doing a meetup/some meetups here in the NY/NJ area for New Year's Eve.


because really, who would want to miss that?

Possibilities include:

*hanging out in Jersey City at nexuscrawler's (free + space for folks who need to crash if need be)
*hanging out at a bar in Jersey City (not free, but close to a place to crash)
*Deebaser is attending a thingy in Astoria at the Plaza Lounge; not sure if there is more space for that but hey, worth asking.



just looking to get a headcount and or gauge interest. We have plenty of space for out of towners as well, so if you would need to stay over, that's fine.

There is plenty more room in astoria, if people would like to attend. We're actually rolling with a very small crew though so we might be amenable to jumping ship to NJ. This is of course dependant entirely on whether or not my buddy from Kansas who will be in town is down.

Just to clarify

Astoria, Plaza Lounge. Pre drink at Dee and Raz's featuring Wine/Cheese and a giant serving jar of cocktail (TBA)
Cost $45 for 9-1AM Open Bar with passed hors d'ovevures (sp?...too lazy to google)

we're investigating the possibilities at a few places local to JC too, and of course wherever you go on new years out here you'll have to pregame it, lol

Are there any somewhat classy joints with a view of the skyline? That would be an easy fucking sell.

haha we were thinking more like White Star or 9th & Coles Tavern, or maybe Lucky 7s if we're really feeling trashy
