Yes, it's that time again. The return of the Best of edition of the infamous D&D CD Swap. And this one has a twist, since it's not only the end of a year, but also the end of a decade.
What's this about
As always, this is about swapping mixes with your good forum pals, with the implied subtext of thrusting your superior musical tastes on anyone available. Maybe less implied this time, since the whole point is to give someone else a taste of your favourite songs and albums from the last 1-10 years.
Rules and Conditions
The usual CD swapping rules apply. That means only audio CDs. Try to send your mixes in a timely fashion (even I have been guilty of neglect there, for which I am sorry), and feedback is encouraged, especially if there's any crappy, homemade album art.
Best of What?
There are a lot of options available. We have a year and a decade that have both just wrapped up, we also have songs and albums that can each be ranked. Or you can do both.
Finally, it should go without saying (but I'm saying it anyway), but best of may be a bit of a misnomer; it's all about favourites here.
If you're having trouble picking a straight top 10 or 15 or 20, there are other options available. You can try picking your top 1 or 2 songs or albums from each year, for example. Or just what you've listened to the most.
How to get in on this
Just lime up your name in a post and I'll add you to the list, then PM me your mailing info. Once the list is settled I'll PM you back your swap partner's info and you can get mailing.
I'd like for this to be open to everyone, but if mailing overseas becomes a problem then we may have to change partners around or something.
One more thing
Would you guys prefer a single swap partner, or a pair of them? Do you want to send 1 CD or 2, or just as many as you feel like (or need)? Inquiring minds need to know.
