Hi guys!

I'm going on a little trip tomorrow with a friend of mine. We will spend about 4 hours in trains,so there's a lot of time to kill.

I'm bringing my laptop with me to watch some series on it, but I also thought about playing some two player games on it. Turn-based games would be awesome,so we can pass the laptop.

If you have any ideas, recommendations, make poast plz!

Worms can do hot-seat multi, right?

If I'm right, you definitely should get Worms.

If you've got Heroes of Might & Magic 3, you're golden.

We have Heroes 5 so that's already covered :)

Worms is a great idea though! Especially Worms 2!

The Heros of Might and Magic series also has hotseat (as far as I can remember) and the games last so long that I rather doubt you'll be finished in four hours. Plenty to keep you occupied.

Also, Serious Sam: Second Encounter has split-screen co-op if you have a second mouse. :o

Rag Doll Kung Fu costs like five bucks from Steam and does multiplayer on the same computer. You'll need a USB mouse for each person, but it's worth it. Best (only?) fighting game on the PC.

Here's another one, although it's an odd choice.

An entry in the Civilization series. It's actually a lot of fun (if you both like the game) to play as a team. It's interesting to hear one another's ideas, discuss where than next city should go, etc..

Hell, they trade saves, but the folks over at civfanatics have an entire subforum devoted to this game type.

I used to get in trouble for cursing in class while playing this with a friend.

I recommend a couple gamepads, or at least one gamepad, one KB. I think it's free.

edit: I read the OP more closely -this is not turn based, more twitch based. Still worth getting gamepads for.

edit2: Also -maybe some old-school scorched earth? I play worms a bunch but it's not the same thing.

Yeah, but doesn't games tend to take even longer than four hours to complete? I'm definitely seconding whoever suggested Serious Sam.

Another vote for You Don't Know Jack...
    Another vote for Worms...

and an obligatory fucking mention for Motherfucking Liero.

THE best free two-player-on-one-screen splitscreen PC game ever, period. It's Worms, but in real time, and with some damn massive bloody carnage.

You will have to either disable sound, or run it on dosbox for it to work in XP, but oh man, is it worth it.
