Banned from WoW Forums for Posting Speculative Information on Worgen Model
Reason: Trolling/Spamming
1 week suspension from the World of Warcraft forums for impersonating a Blizzard representative. This is a final warning. Further violations of Forum Guidelines could result in a loss of posting privileges.
The reason I find this a bit strange is because all I did was post a conversation I had with someone who claimed to be a Blizzard concept artist who worked on the female Worgen model. This is what he told me:
We were told constantly to make them sexier and sexier until they eventually ditched the "wolf" aspects and made us make them toy dogs.
It went through several re-designs, I think they actually showed a few bits of concept we did early on that show how different it was. They were late however because they were redoing them to rig to previous skeletons instead of making an entirely new one.
People contracted out and non-art heads don't get say in the final product. They simply give us notes or maybe doodles they did themselves and tell us to pump out the concept for approvals so it can be sent to the actual modeling team. Who by the way are LAZY. If you notice they reused parts of the Tauren, Dwarf, and Draenei Skeletons to rig the Worgen and Goblins.
At no point did I claim I was a Blizzard employee or that my source was verified, just that I found it interesting that the guy got so specific. And for that I got banned. They even deleted all my posts that had nothing to do with the conversation. Now in retrospect I could see how what I posted could be viewed as potentially libelous but it still seems like an overreaction on their part. Thoughts?
All do respect but, Blizzard can do anything they damn well please if you agree to their terms (which you do when signing up for the forums/battle.net.
I don't think anyone has to speculate that Blizzard wanted to make the female Worgen perfect wank material of the furries.

Were I the OP, I would post the source material on pretty much every other WoW forum not associated directly with WoW. That's such an over-reaction on their part that something's going on there.
Just so you know, they can't actually do anything to you. Only if you're operating on Blizzard owned websites. And even then, they'd take the piss rather hard if they permabanned someone over posting development issues for their latest expansion.

Did you at least email the accountadmin address and explain your situation? I was banned for a misunderstanding once and after calmly describing what happened it was reversed almost immediately.

Also it's, "With all due respect."
