I think this conference is more geared towards the Japanese 'lifestyle' elements of the device... but we'll wait and see.

The program in the OP lists a bunch of games that are going to be shown after the current thing.

I bet they're assuming that wireless will be kept on at all times due to the new connectivity features, and possibly taking into account that you'll be leaving it in sleep mode in between sessions. Can't tell until we get it into our hands.

    Also holy crap augmented reality!

I suspect we'll have much better understanding of that battery life when the press get to ask questions.

Is there a list on the average battery life on the PSP, DS, and DSi? I'd like to compare them for another article.

    http://www.nintendo.co.jp/ds/series/dsi/spec/index.html

DSi specs say on the highest brightness it lasts 3 to 4 hours.

I'm pretty sure that's purely software and can be done with any camera.

So if the 3DS numbers are for the same brightness, then it is comparable. Can the 3DS actually have it's brightness altered?

Helps when you've got two and can check for depth.

Low battery life? Not cool. Not Nintendo, even.

It's like the Game Gear, so awesome, so ahead of it's time, such a short time to play.

I'm not too worried, because that's probably the battery life with everything turned on at max. The maximum level of light of the DS+i pratically blinds me, so it'll be low/minimum light for me, raising the battery life to something more acceptable. Still bummed they didn't aim for a 6 hours battery life for 3DS gaming.

Also makes me wonder what kind of battery life the psp2 would have, considering it's more powerful or is expected to be.

This is a brilliant way to overcome the problem of advertising the 3DS through a 2D medium. I see big things in these guys future.

If I'm reading the schedule thing right, there is no reason to watch this until 11:45EST when they're showing off Metal Gear?

Nintendo Music showing in 20 minutes, Metal Gear Solid an hour and 45 minutes after that.

I think Nintendo Music is just the DSi's player on steroids. Phrasing it "Nintendo Music" makes me think of a store like iTunes though.

I would not stay up for MGS, every list still says it's just "The Naked Sample" which is the demo we already saw at E3. I hope they have more to show than that, but who knows.

Hahah, the tubby guy talking about the 3DS and the new Resident Evil.

    "Oh geez this is amazing"

"The depth makes it seem like it's going over my shoulders, it's that good"

    "So much depth, I'm surprised!"

Would love to see more gameplay though.

    Edit -> Extra presentation.

All DS titles are compatible, but it did not say anything about having a 3D effect added.
    3D Photos.
Make a Mii with a photo capture, the software makes the rest
There is a "Friends collection" for Miis
"AR Cards", -> Lay down the card in games, the DS will detect it, the camera will display the character/item on the card in 3D.

    Damnit, nothing new from that.
