Washing wool and polypropylene socks

So I've got a pair of each of these socks that I use for cold weather and they need washing, but they're not quite worth a full load of laundry. Can I just throw them in with the regular load when I do that, or should I just hand wash them seperate after use?

    They're socks.

Wash them and if you fuck them up throw them away.

    Unless they're magical.
