    Giant Bomb DCUO Quick Look

    They actually livestreamed this on Justin.tv yesterday and I watched the archive last night. Game doesn't look all that great, but the movement stuff looks fun. Wish this could have been some sort of single-player experience.

    Ugh, my friend from work who is a total DC nut keeps asking me to get this game to play it with him. I have some credit at Gamestop, so I may pick it up today or tomorrow. If I get a buddy pass, I'll give it to one of you.

    We're rolling villains on the Death and Glory server. Apparently, the G&T guys are heroes on that server, and it's PvP, so I'll be dying over and over again because I'll be stuck at being Level Retarded for playing this casually as shit.

    batman beyond had high-school parts and was great!

    but the villains weren't also high school students so

    I could see it being fun to watch, but not necessarily great.

    no, it's retarded because those characters didn't go to high school together, weren't villains as children, and the ones deformed by chemicals had that happen to them as adults. It makes no sense, it's a dumb concept that requires you to basically not know who batman is or anything about any of the characters. Plus he wouldn't have gone to a public school because he was rich as fuck. It's just dumb.

    Langly it's not supposed to be about Bruce Wayne's actual High School experience!

    It's an alternate universe transposing Batman's adventures into a High School setting.

    Personally, I think it could be pretty enjoyable!

    Look, it is my Batman given right to be mad about non-existent cartoon shows.

    I think my severe negative reaction is because the design and concept reminds me of that EXTREME looney tunes concept that was floated a while back, and also of the x-men high school cartoon which was awful.

    I only know batman from the 90s cartoon, no other DC crap, and I think the idea of a high school batman is dumb.

    One of the coolest thing about the batman cartoon and why it is so appealing even today was that it was made with more mature tones and characters, if you take batman and make him an angsty teenager it kinda ruins this.
