I'm posting here to see what kind of interest I can drum up for a local tournament.
Everything is in planning stages at the moment but before I go and make arrangements for everything I want to know that I can bring 32 players to this event.
At this point I'm looking at a 32 player single elimination tournament. I would like to do this on the first monday of every month if this thing gets rolling. Other scheduling options exists for me if it turns out the player base is only available on weekends. We shall see.
I want to try and keep registration costs as low as possible but if we don't want to do this in someone's basement we'll have to hand over some dollars. Details on where the event will actually be taking place when those detail arrange themselves. I'm estimating a 30 dollar Registration fee. 15-20 of your registration dollars will go to the establishment providing space for us and the rest will go to the Prize Pool so we're looking at a 200$ grand prize and 100$ for second place.
