Suddenly I think I understand the people that flip out when they lose. I had this game. Sure, he destroys my base too, but I had it. And then he flies off his command center into empty space before I can kill it.

This means you didn't have the game.
You can have the better economy, the larger army, but if he managed to destroy your base because you had no flying units, it means he played a better game than you.

That initial attack looked incredible though. Not the thor drop, but the marine/scv/thor attack. If Idra had banelings slightly later, he might have lost the game there.

NaDa should have picked up Marines instead of Thors in that attack.
If that was prior to the latest patch I think NaDa would have won.
Eh, killed damn near all the SCV's with banelings immediately in the only attack that posed any kind of threat.

Hmm, I don't think so. Banelings killed SCVs in the first attack anyway, and the other attacks, the thors were focused down by roaches first. The first attack could have been closer though, slings probably killed a couple of scvs.

Which is good - thors with repairing scvs were invincible before

When it says SCVs have the same priority as the thing they're repairing...I assume that means units that are a-moving will work on proximity to decide whether to attack the scvs or the bunker/thor/building
Which means this also hasnt nerfed repairing bunkers with scvs all that much, which is good because that is already quite easy to stop as protoss.

They did fix the repair-through-forcefield bug though
And good lord, that's the worst map pool I've ever seen. It's like you decided Protoss should never win at all.
man what?
4 warpgate is insane on blistering
scrap I don't see how it's bad for toss, lots of people say it's good
and metal is considered the most balanced or at least among the top
As a Toss, Scrap Station is probably my best map.
Last night I played Tanner, accidentally build 2 Forges -_-* What can you really do at that point?
+1/+1 timing push for the win!

When I play Zerg I love scrap station as its one of the few maps I feel safe going hatch first with, with my so far poor micro skills as zerg (I panic easily as zerg)
I also love it as Toss, however, precisely because its one of the few maps I am guaranteed a sure win against zerg because my 5SZ 4gate variation destroys FE zerg everytime and Zerg always FE on scrap.
Although I just had a hilarious game of ZvZ where I got 6pooled on scrap. I went 13 pool and my zerglings were still only about 5 seconds from being done when his lings entered my base. Hilarious

Hey, Wakkawa! Are you the guy who did that awesome Queen of Blades picture as well? If you are, I've been using it for a desktop on my laptop for months, so thanks!

I think they only play as a tie-breaker if they both go 2-0 against the other players.
Not sure though.
But like all protoss players he has to make completely terrible decisions and use stupid builds to make sure he loses.
That's a race feature of which only the top players take full advantage.

one more all in to repell and i think he has this
edit: lol, slight curve on idra's mouth. He must be ecstatic!
Idra smiling?
NaDa made some really poor decisions there tbh
And nada does the 1 basiest 1 base build.
NaDa should have picked up Marines instead of Thors in that attack.
It would have made such a huuuuge difference.
Jinro has an insanely tough group as well though, MC is a beast in PvT, and rainbow/marineking aren't really bad either.
MC was in his head and playing damn near perfectly, but aside from that I'd pick Jinro over almost anyone.
Eh, killed damn near all the SCV's with banelings immediately in the only attack that posed any kind of threat.
Yeah but he a-moved the banelings, I feel like the banelings would have been trying to get to the thors more so than the scvs.
I also think that if it had been pre-patch NaDa would have brought more scvs and won that way rather than having to do it with just marines and thors.
I think Thors have been heavily indirectly nerfed here.
Which is good.
That strategy should not have been as viable as it was, and that's now been fixed

I wonder if I can manage to get those into sucession as my avatar... too lazy though :P.

On Desert Oasis :rotate:
I miss Desert Oasis-- it was unique and made games very different and awesome. F all the haters who bitched about it.

I liked DO also. It was kind of lousy when they started flailing with the destructible rocks and whatnot, but it's a solid map.
