    seems like the extra candle isn't that useful when you only have 70 actions a day
    unless you can only log in a few times every 24 hours

    Wait, I just got a card about surface food

    is travel between the surface and Fallen London possible? How? is there like a portal or a magical word or is it a more serious "sell your soul for entry" kind of deal?

    The Recalling the Surface storyline implies that travel is possible, as does the sidebar about dying - if you go to the tomb-colonies, you can come back to Fallen London, but you'll never be able to reach the surface again unless you become immortal.
