they won't show you they're into pain unless its totally impossible to hide anymore
dogs on the other hand will bitch endlessly
I had a dog who hid chronic lyme until one day he couldn't move his back paws anymore. Instead of crying, he stood up on his front two paws, leaned forward until his rear end was hovering in the air, and walked in to greet us on two legs like that was normal.

Once, the same dog who had chronic lyme, got a piece of fence wiring stabbed all the way through his paw. Totally stuck to this downed fence under leaves. Instead of crying, he sat there and chewed at the wire for 15 minutes or so before barking, just barking, which he never did. We went over to see what was up and he looks at us, then at the paw, which is now bleeding everywhere, then back at us. Like. Hey. This happened. I couldn't do anything about it. Can you help.

My limited Spanish is completely screwing w/ my goal to learn Italian.
The similarity is helping me understand, but when it comes to speaking I keep throwing Spanish into my Italian. Is frustrating.
