I probably wouldn't like it anymore, but... Fond memories.

    Oh I don't doubt it.

I just don't know what to watch.

I suppose I should look into it.

    What are some good comedies?

Louie (Possibly my favorite comedy on air right now), Community, Archer, Parks and Recreation (Start with the second season - the first season took a while to find its footing, and you won't miss anything skipping it), How I Met Your Mother (A bit inconsistent in its latter seasons, but still worth watching), 30 Rock, Venture Brothers, Eastbound and Down, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

I think that's most of 'em. Man, there's a lot of gold on TV these days.

Edit: Forgot Children's Hospital. That one's really good too.

You know how sometimes you're talking to a relatively new acquaintance and you/they try to find a common bond in TV shows that you both watch? Every time that has happened to me in the last five months I realize that there are just not very many people I meet in every day life who watch things in the science fiction/crime/cartoon genres.

It's like an endless loop of me attempting to list shows we may have in common while the other person gets more and more awkward.

In other news, redfenix, I'm really sorry to hear about your d-i-v-o-r-c-e.

I really don't bond with people over TV, music, books, etc. I can kinda dig on some movie stuff, but even that only takes me so far. Like even if they like the same shows as me, I'm just like 'oh yeah, that's a good show. So...'

I am just really bad at pop culture apparently. So I have no idea how I am supposed to relate to people. Woo...!

I have Strong Opinions about a lot of stuff. Often I try to not be as outspoken as my gut instinct would dictate I be, so as not to frighten new people off before we become friends and their escape routes are eliminated.

Anyway we bonded over Fanfare so clearly you are not a complete loss in terms of relating to others.

Maybe you're eating bad soup, Rane? That is the only reaosn I can think of.

I have minestrone and carrot-ginger in my fridge right now and they are both pretty awesome.

I can't eat the carrot at the moment, though, because it has dairy and my sinuses are being fuckers.

Marriage is a lot like jazz.

If you're under thirty, and you're really into it, there's a ninety percent chance you're boring at parties.
I am proud to be boring at parties (because I like jazz).

I'm sorry red. I have never been on a date so I can't commiserate, but still, that sucks.

It's liquid with stuff in! Like meat... spinach... tomatoes... I still maintain that it is an issue of faulty soup.

But eh, don't listen to me, I'm the person who can't spell 'reason' properly.

Well...if I were to make a theory about it, I would say that I can relate to people over shared experiences, or similar experiences but with different perspectives (I actually like this better), whereas things like tv or movies or books are different interpretations of the same experience. Which I like to talk about with people I already know and whose opinions I value, but not necessarily with new people

So for me, talking about Fanfare the place, rather than whatever comics or games you might find inside, is way more interesting I guess?

    House

House is best all day long

Even though it is not superfunny all the time (though it is funny) it is a fantastic drama show that just happens to be set in a hospital. Hugh Laurie is great in it, as is pretty much every other long running character.

as for marriage I would like to get married some day

But I guess I would just as much like to have a girlfriend I am equally close with

Essentially I equate marriage with commitment because that has been my experience

When there's a really messy breakup, and you take your bro's side (as you should), and talk mad shit about the girl to help him through it, and then they get back together, and then he tells her all the stuff you said.

That's the dickliest of dick moves.
