Mass Effect release date...In Australia
Posts
So hard.
(Of course, that will never happen. I'm just embittered by shitty release dates we're handed over here)
You know... North America is a continent... A continent that includes Canada... You may not believe it, but it also includes Mexico. North America is not just the USA. If you were to remove USA from North America, there would still be Canada and Mexico. Does that make it clear?
[/rant] (Sorry about that, but it bugs the fuck out of me when people fail to acknowledge that Canada is part of North America, and feel that it's required to say "Canada and North America")
However they said 'we have no announcements on the release date'
Meaning, well, it might be true.
If it is true (in my opinion it will be a really late 07 early 08 title) then, oh my god, Bioshock in June and Mass Effect in MAY.
May, thats ridiculous.
Though anything for the 360 coming out this fall is going to be paved by Halo 3 and GTA 4.
Well, it's still morning, but it's still good news. A nice change from the all-too-frequent months of waiting we often have.

Sorry about that.I was to busy Trying to post this before anyone else might (And subsequently Clean off my pants) That I wasnt really thinking.
considering no EU release date has been even talked about you americans should have been playing it a few months ago.
How was it? It looks good. I cant wait.
But.
But this game cant be coming out this May.
Thats the summer...
I think companies are starting to get the point to release games in the summer, what with Bioshock and Blue Dragon being released.
The Bioshock release was a total surprise.
Now this (almost certainly false mind you) would just be the icing on the cake. With GTA4 and Halo 3 due out by the fall, it would be a well paced year for the 360.
You forgot all the Central American countries in your little tirade. Everything Panama up is North America.
You can't post on these forums anymore!
lol nub!
Because? I dont see what is wrong with it on the 360.
Kotor was vastly superior on the Xbox than on the PC, ignoring minor graphical improvements and port problems.
Annnnnd you're retarded.
KOTOR was superior on the PC. Slightly. But superior. What strain of crack are you on?
The good kind.
But seriously, the game was built around Xbox controls, it felt clunky to me on the PC. The interface was a little too simplistic, which is why it works on the console. apart from that, and as I said graphics aside, there isnt much between the two.
The reason why I thought it was vastly superior was the huge amount of bugs in the PC port. Or am I thinking of Kotor 2? Either way, I know that I preferred it on xbox.
And Mass Effect is more suited to consoles than Kotor was, its real time, analog movement and aiming. Sure KB+M might work but its more snap aiming like metroid prime.
Also, I dont really give a shit. I was just wondering why he would wait 3 years for a PC version than 3 months for a 360 version.
I agree with your final point, but I had KOTOR since the PC release date and it was bugless.
I cannot attest to the buglessness of KOTOR 2 though. I have it but never played it.
Uhm... No no, thats Central America... not North America...
North America = Canada + US + Mexico (according to the Canadian school boards, at least)
(Just checked Wikipedia, and apparently we're both right)
Thinking about it, it was the sequel which was garbage on the PC.
The first one I didnt play on PC, cause I had the XB version, hence my confusion (I borrowed the second one).
So yeah, carry on.
Just thought I'd point out that if you were to remove the USA from North America, you'd not only have Canada and Mexico to deal with, but also Guatemala, Belize, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Cuba, The Bahamas, Jamaica, The Dominican Republic, Dominica, Haiti, Barbados, Antigua and Barbuda, Grenada, St. Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, and Trinidad and Tobago as well. Yes, Central America and the Caribbean are part of North America too.
(and I'll just go ahead and admit I had to use wikipedia for those last few caribbean countries.)
*said like Bandit Keith* In Australia.
did i do it rite?
Look at my last post on the first page, there's actually 2 different definitions of North America, one includes only Canada, Mexico, and the US. The other includes everything down to the Panama canal.
I think for the purposes of this argument it is USA and Canada only.
In my opinion North America the continent is Canada, the US and Mexico only, though there are two ways to define continents, geographically (as in, the tectonic plates) and politically, as in the agreed borders.

Also, those links Tycho posted were pretty nice. :^: I can't wait for this game.

I actually think that the Xbox Australia thing was a genuine slip-up; there are tons of estimated release dates out there, and most of them seem to just copy each other. Just in case it's real, though, can anyone tell me how late games tend to arrive in Australia compared to the US/Canada? A month? Or more, like Europe? I can't even remember whether Australia's PAL or NTSC right now.
But yeah, Bioware have said over and over again that they refuse to set a date until they know for sure the game's done. Which pretty much means when it goes gold, that's when we'll know.
That said, the boxart got released a few weeks ago. Trust me, we're close.
