I rarely meet any these days. But I always very put off when a character on a show turns out to be Catholic. I think "Why not just say he's a rapist. At least then you'd get the pro-rape demographic. That has to be bigger than the selection of people who don't hate Catholics."

Yes, funniest one I've seen so far. The last one we watched tonight was the one where Ted sort of gets fired, it was not as funny as the one right before it, with the gift wrap selling and the creepy gay Army general.

Yeah, I think that the sensor episode might be my favourite.
But I liked almost all of BoT. I am a total sucker for that kind of absurdity in turn of phrase and continuing in-jokes. (Such as about Ted having an odd last name).

Because they performed the procedure to save the woman. Catholic hospitals are pretty terrible, too; many of them misinform people, and don't provide all of the services they should, because Jesus said that women should be barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen.

but what you guys really mean isn't "I hate Catholics" but "I hate corrupt institutions of powerful old white men enforcing their views and cultural norms on others."
turns out that works a lot better, because it covers shit-head like bankers and the GOP too, and you overlap a lot less with, like, hundreds of millions of poor and oppressed people trying to survive or work for an improved life for them and their family
progressive hate on religion irks me because all those people we supposedly care about and want to help? You know, poor people and minorities?
None of them do advance economic social justice around the world; in fact, they do everything in their power to make sure women don't become educated, because that would mean that they weren't spending all of their time having little baby Catholics to continue supporting the church, since it's awful hard for a church whose main tenants are "rape children" and "keep women in the kitchen" to win a lot of converts.
I heard that all Catholic Bishops are really alligators.
Man eating reptiles would be preferable to the real bishops, I think.
