First off, Power Supplies. My current power supply in my computer sounds like its dying. It constantly puts off a high pitch noise and is decently loud and it's not under warranty by Antec anymore(The PSU came in the CASE). The power supply that was in the case was a 450Watt SmartPower 2.0. I'm looking for something around the same wattage but something that is very quiet and cools very well.
Next is an External Harddrive, I'm an amateur photographer and I constantly am filling up my Laptop's harddrive(I've been using a laptop since the screech of the PC is unbearable). My Laptop has 60GB and the PC 80GB. Now what I want to do is make an external harddrive with these two parts HDD and CASE. Just wondering if those two are good products if any of you knew and if they would be compatible with eachother.
And finally LCD's. I know not to buy LCD's online it's better to go to the store and actually look at them in person, but I was wondering what I'd want to get first. Right now I have two 17" CRTS for my desktop and I think I'm just gonna replace the both with one widescreen LCD. What size would you recommend and brand?
Your LCD size choice is going to be tied to your budget—figure out what you want to spend, and then buy the biggest you can get for that price. As for brands, Apple LCDs are killer, Dell's Ultrasharp's are supposed to be comparable to Apple for less money. Viewsonic monitors tend to be pricey, but if you're anal about image quality, they can be worth the high cost. If you can get a good deal on a Samsung they're nice, but make sure it has a DVI input, as Samsung leaves those off of some models.
The harddrive is a good one, the case should be fine. Keep in mind that it'll have to plug into an outlet to work, though. If you want a more portable-friendly solution, get a 2.5" drive and case, those can work off the USB/Firewire bus power.
I'm pretty certain Dell, Apple and Samsung all use Samsung panels in their LCDs. I'm happy with my Dell 20" widescreen, though it's a bit old now and it gets some "stuck" pixels every now and then if something has been on screen for a long time. It isn't a major problem, and they go away, but it can be a minor nuisance.

Also that 30" $2,000 Apple LCD is orgasmic too bad I dont wanna shell out the money for it. hah.
Also why does the price range from around 20.1" and as it increases skyrocket?
