    It's worth noting that YouTube has recently started removing the video time limit for many users, so you might be able the upload the full video without needing to go to the effort of splitting it up.

    From what I understand, a lot of people are getting this nowadays, so the odds are good that you've gotten lucky too. If you don't already have it, try posting a couple of small videos and waiting a day or so. That usually seems to be enough to trigger the removal of the time limit on an account.
