About a song in a commercial

This commercial was posted in SE++ and I assume that this song is based on a real opera song. Does anyone know on which song it is based? It sounds like Gilbert and Sullivan to me.

    as far as I can tell, the song is original but draws heavily from wagner.

    so, no its not a real song.
