Here are some new renders done in Blender, though the costume is not quite finished yet. I will post some more tomorrow or later this week:

    That picture is giant.

Her head looks pretty big and its sorta hard to tell whats going on with her arms. In general things don't seem proportional and the orange light doesnt mesh with the bright blue skies. If we could just see the model itself, it might be helpful.

    OK, thanks.

I'll post a wireframe tonight sometime.

The texture work on her "skirt" is far lower resolution then your render, and it shows, especially in contrast to the belt pouches. The belt and pouches themselves have an extremely even, uniform color, and the little buckles that hold the tassles doesn't seem to be of any earthly material, they look like a very strange plastic with high specularity but no world reflection. The buckle on the belt itself looks to be clipping into her skirt a little, as well. It isn't sitting flat against the surface, as it would under tension.

The geometry on her thong seems non-uniform as it wraps around her hips, especially around the one on our left/her right - it pinches to nearly nothing, then gets very wide as it turns the form.

Are you using any kind of sub-surface scattering pass on the skin? If so, applying it to some of the fabrics might give more depth to them.

Is she actually in an environment, or is the environment behind her just a matte painting/textured plane? If she's just standing in front of the image, I'd put another copy of it behind the camera and make sure final gather is bouncing some of those environmental colors around in the scene a little to make her a little more grounded.

You're also getting a purple cast to the whites of the eyes - likely coming from the purple cast it looks like you've assigned to your shadow shader, but it is hard to tell without knowing how you set up the scene. Setting up a medium self-illumination map on the eyes and using a point light mapped to only the eyes to enhance the glare/kick on them might bring more life to them.

    Thanks for the feedback!

Like I said, this is a work in progress, so I'll try to incorporate your advise!

The far background is a photo.

You really have got to resize the pictures, Its hard to crit when you cant see the whole thing on screen at once.

You really should look for a better caustics or refraction shader for the water. I can't tell where it contacts her at all.

Finally, practical use for my 27 inches of imac screenspace :D
    (pleaseresize though)

i'm retarded at 3D, so i'm just wondering if you did everything here from scratch? like models/ texture etc, or did you just do the clothing?

Okay, I'll post smaller pics from now on.

I made everything except the face, hair, low-rez skirt, and background photo.

    First pic you posted:

Lop-sided boobs. Not only is one significantly bigger than the other, they are also different shapes.

    All three pictures:

Her head seems to be about 10% too big for her frame.

Yeah, I like to make the faces slightly bigger than reality to relay expression. I'll work on fixing the shapes.

There is a hole in her navel and she has no teeth. While no teeth may make blowjobs easier, it makes images creepy as fuck. Also in the one before this, her little armband sweater is just hovering off of her arm.

Is there a reason you have such a low level of detail in some areas? Her eyebrows. Her earrings. Then you make the material of her armbands super hi res. It's incredibly distracting.

Yeah, I'm not really sure how I feel about this thread. Can you justify its existence in twelve words or less?
Lacking the required twelve-words-or-less, I'm finding it difficult to really see what the OP can get out of the community here, and vice versa.

This is how your last thread got locked. I'm posing the same requirement for this one as well: In twelve words or less, justify your intentions for this thread, because the last one was full of renders for gross 3D porn.

Her wristy things stick out to me as needing work. They have very sharp edges, but do not look like the sorts of things which should have sharp edges. Almost nothing ever has sharp edges IRL - everything needs volume. Bevel everything.

Also she has fingers like Gollum. Given what you're aiming for you should really try to aim for slender hands and fingers and longer nails.

EDIT: Also, did you add the tassles on her pouches in post? They look painted in and really odd. Not least of which because they appear to be clipping into the buckles.

Yes, of course. All advice is much appreciated!

I will fix the fingers, nails, and head sizes, and add teeth. I will post updated renders here, assuming the thread doesn't get locked.

If it does get locked, you can keep giving me tips over at the Final Fantasy 13 forums, if you feel like it:

    Thanks again!

Once more, this lacks the twelve-words-or-less edict. No more of these threads.
