Ooooooh. That makes a lot more sense. I don't really have a preference. I think I might like 24 better since Heavy Metal often turns into who has the best pilot or if none are present, who has the most tanks in one location.
e: Heavy Metal really should have been a 4 point map in my opinion with a huge mountain ridge between the two on the sides maybe with a narrow pass in the center of that.

AT4 is amazing and fun, I almost think it cheats a bit and locks on silently to a vehicle when the rocket is close enough or something. I shot a blackbird flying across from me from like a kilometer away, felt like a pro.
That guy also has some more videos with at4 tips. The main things to take away from them are to keep the rocket inside the choppers silhouette if possible or alternatively, get a feel for how fast the rocket flies and turn it sharply towards the chopper when it gets close.

Yeah, I'm an AT4 pro myself. That video's of a guy using the old AT4, actually. Somewhat harder to get a hit with. Needless to say, he's pretty much godlike with it, post-patch.

The game is supposed to look better with HBOSA or whatever right? Because I didnt notice a difference, and I dont think I experienced a frame rate drop.

Is there a way to check your frame rate?
It makes shadows softer and more realistic, not very noticeable. You can use Fraps to check your FPS.

Ive never used the AT4, only because Im completely useless with the stationary missile launcher things. Im also not great with the UAV.
When using the AT-4 (which I am just starting to do regularly) I find it easier to shoot down heli's if I ignore the reticle and actually watch the missile.

Don't know if anyone else finds that as well.
After watching the video above, I'm encouraged to go back and give the AT-4 another shot. Many shots.
Those chopper kills are just magical.
Also, I would love to jump on and shoot mans, but school has wrecked gaming for me lately.
I would have at least 100 more kills with the AT4 if the stupid rocket flew a bit faster.
In other news since it's reading week I will actually be able to join you guys, at least after I finish playing the DA2 demo a few times.
I would have thousands more kills if an AT-4 could actually kill people when I nailed their helicopter.
I mean christ, sure, give them time to jump out if I hit the tail and the damn thing starts spinning, but if I put an AT-4 with explosives mk.2 through the windshield I should get some damn kills.
It makes about as much sense as the blackhawk's minigun damage.

God damn guys, sorry I didn't turn up. I woke up at 5am with a monster sore throat so I took some medicine and went back to sleep. I only just woke up and now I have to go to appointments downtown. With a monster sore throat.

Eh I tried, but well my current ISP is just as shitty as my last one, fuck it's even worse. The other ISP was constant 500ms ping, this one is 200-999 ups and downs all the time.

So pissed.
It probably wouldn't be so bad if your packets didn't have to go through customs. :?
Well, I returned to the BC2 realm last night. It only took 4 hours of patching, but I am back. Feels good. First round was 3 -14. Next was like 7-10. Later 14-15. Finally I started getting positive KD rations once every other game.
I'm back baby.
Aside from the public PA server, any others I should add?
Also, any PA people play Vietnam yet? Is this the thread for that? I haven't bought it yet, but I am thinking about it.

A few of us do, but it seems the vast majority of people prefer vanilla BC2. Vietnam is somewhat of an acquired taste, and a couple of the maps are some of the worst DICE has ever produced (while the others are quite fun).
If you're looking to just get as much Battlefield as possible, then I'd say go for it (especially if you like choppers/tanks). Otherwise stick to vanilla, it's still going strong (and has many, many good maps now).

And if it does happen to go the other way, this forum's fine community of spot-accurate gunners is there to remedy the situation.

CPU. Well at least going from dual to quad, the game just runs a thousand times better.
Is there a way to check your frame rate?
I nailed three blackhawks in a row, maybe four, on isla inocentes last time around with the AT4.
It felt good man. 8-)

God damn, this class. I think I'm just going to have to level it by picking up dropped packs for the other classes.

Ah, so all it does is reduce your frame rate.
Not worth it.

Don't know if anyone else finds that as well.
So if I were to go from a triple-core to a quad with a higher clock rate...

So pissed.
Had a couple nice slug snipes on blackhawk gunners, and then kept getting knifed over and over :rotate:

I couldn't find the server tonight. What gives?
Also, how much do you need? OP says $0.
Edit, found it. N/m. still, how much needed?
1/32?!? Wtf happened to the community we had. What did people move on to?
