I Need More PA:4E Podcasts!

I realized as I was avoiding doing my NET 125 course work - and rescheduling my NetLab assignment for the 3rd time - by listening to the D&D podcasts again that I would trade one episode of PA TV a month for a weekly or bi-weekly D&D podcast of the guys (Wheaton could do video conferencing, and Straub can be in all the games now!). I'm unable to play with my old d&d group as I moved to attend school. I only live 2 towns from where I lived before, but it's far enough away that, as an unemployed student, I'm unable to justify the tank of gas it takes to make it to and from the games on a weekly basis, and none of my friends on this end of the line are D&D initiates. The PA podcasts are the closest I come to feeling I used to get at the table these days and, like any junky, I need a fresh fix! So on that note I submit that PA TV should produce a regular D&D episode, and I need your support! Who's with me?

In principle: This is content I would consume. However, if the roles were reversed, I would likely resist doing this. Regardless of how much people said they enjoyed listening to my games, I wouldn't want my hobby to become a chore. I also wouldn't want to deal with all the twitter posts about how I deviated from this rule, or 'helpful' critiques of my campaign, or how that one joke I made about the goblin was offensive to you.

In practice: The above is moot because I believe Mike said they had put their regular D&D game on hold due to burn out, and that Warmachine was their thing now.

You...make a good point. I guess I need to remember that not everyone can enjoy the things in the spirit they are intended. I for one think house rules are often more fun than standard rules if they add a new element of game play and aren't just used for easy outs (although those situations are fine in my book in certain new/young player situations) but rules lawyers are the bane of many an existence. As for who takes offense to what, I find my understanding of PA's stance on these things to be refreshing which is that if you're offended by the things they do, it's probably best you don't continue to consume the content cause they're going to keep doing them. That being said, I suppose it's best to assume the worst possible outcome and and do up a mental cost-benefit.

As far as the game being on hold, I understood he was burnt out on DMing the games, and I was more interested in either Jerry as DM, or maybe Wheaton. Now I know the physics of that are unlikely. Wheaton is an out of towner, making it difficult to run the physical aspects of the game but, just as a highly unlikely experimental scenario let me lay this out there. One of the non-playing entities there at the office i.e. Feh, Khoo, Erika etc. receives an email before the game and sets up the physical environs of the game, and then assists the disembodied voice of Wheaton in enacting the harrowing adventures of Acquisitions Inc. (for the purposes of this example).

Now that wishful thinking time is over, I'll go back to leading my disappointing existence...
