Huh... so I can *see* the Infinity Blade update on my iPhone, but my iTunes doesn't. And I can't download it either. I can hit the "Update" button but it does nothing. Just depresses/changes color and.... nothing.
The problem with it is that you only have access to maybe 7-10 puzzles before you have to shell out for the rest via IAP.
Oh.. that's what I get for rarely reading the full description of games. I'd be pretty ticked if I paid money for it. Thanks for the heads up!
While I'm posting, can anyone recommend a good turn-based RPG with a decent story that will run on a first gen phone? A few I'm already familiar with: Wolfenstein RPG, Doom II RPG, Ash, and Final Fantasy 1/2.
I really like the game, other than the fact that once a lot of stuff starts getting crammed into the screen it's damn impossible to touch the character you want to command.
Played a bunch of Infinity Blade this weekend. Finally got the hang of the combat, to the point that I'm on my 3rd bloodline and rarely get hit. Which means putting skills in magic and attack make me a beast.
It needs to be said: more companies need to be like Epic and give us content for free. How easy would it have been for them to charge us for all that?
Well, the new dungeon needs the Infinity Blade to open it and you can buy gold as a IAP and it just went on sale and a lot of people are playing it for the first time so...

Meh; just stack Gold+ and ItemDrop+ items on your character; I think it took me four bloodlines to muster up the money *& items to sell to afford it.
Anyone else ordering the new iPad on Friday? I'm wondering when they will open orders, does anyone know?
i am gonna try to get one in store and if not, they start orders the day of (not sure what time, might be 5 pm? should check the site regularly on the day of)
I can't manage the 10 jumps on Island 1. It's a problem.
I did it by intentionally cutting my perfect jumps short, but pressing down almost as soon as I'm launched off the previous hill, so I don't have to wait for the full, long arc of the jump.
I've been trying that, but I keep topping the hills. Basically it's a skill issue, which makes it even worse. Every attempt is like "1, 2, 3, *bonk* ARG, 4, *bonk* ARG ... end of island."

What helped me was when I started to do small taps in the air to slow me down and set up my landings better. Then it's just a matter of making your way slowly (and perfectly) through the island.

As Al points out, you can get a perfect on the first valley if you pause for a second until you're properly airborne at the beginning.
The timing on the short perfect hops is a touch tricky, but you'll get there with 5-10 tries. Just restart if you finish the first island and haven't tagged the achievement. My advice is similar to Six's and Septus. After you get airborne coming off a hill, tap to kill a lot of your speed - don't hold it down too long since you don't want to keep topping hills, as you no. Basically it's sort of a hiccup tap - swoop, come up off hill, a moment after you're in the air you tap once, let up, and once you're over the valley you want to land in, hold down again. I aimed for every other valley to get that one.

Been playing a lot of Infinity Blade since the update. I basically started over from scratch with the intent of mastering every item in the game and leveling up as much as possible. I'm up to about Level 45 or so right now, but I've definitely hit a wall in terms of how much money I'm bringing in vs. how much new items cost. Even equipped with Gold+++ gear, the most I'm collecting in a Bloodline is probably 100k, maybe 150k if I'm lucky. Yet, the next ring alone costs something like 700k. To upgrade all of my equipment to the next level, I'll need like 2 Million Gold pieces or something like that. And once I master those, I'll need even more after that.
It seems like the gold drops definitely do not keep up well with the escalating cost of items. I don't care though, I'll keep fighting that jerk God-King until I've mastered them all, and I"m certainly not going to fork over $50 for imaginary gold pieces doing it either.

This all worked ... second try. The hiccup tap is crazy useful. Thanks!
I just picked up Infinity Blade and I think I've hit a bug.
It's after the first fight and the game is telling me to look around and then tap to pick up a treasure or potion but I'll be damned if there's anything there to pick up.

Am I the only one who gets huge battery drain when I play Tiny Wings? Seriously, I can play it for 30 minutes and seemingly drain half my battery. Infinity Blade gets better battery life than Tiny Wings for me.

All this talk has me wondering why Apple hasn't added apps to the AppleTV. The app store is basically a license to print money. The $100.00 AppleTV+App Store won't be able to challenge the Xbox's and Playstation's of the world but it should strike fear into Nintendo.

The only reason I can think of is the interface device (or lack thereof). The iP* products all have a touch screen now, which makes for a pretty good input device. A very simple IR remote like the one on the ATV2 just won't work very well for most of the apps that already exist.
Now, I'm not trying to knock the idea, I just think that's why they haven't made Apple TV apps possible, yet. With the Remote app, you do have touch control of the Apple TV from the iPhone/iPad, and even if you don't have that, there are still a lot of content-consumption apps that I would love to see on the Apple TV. I can only think of obvious ones like Hulu right now, but I have a feeling that there are plenty of great things you could do with the Apple TV that would work well with a remote.
Also, on the Tiny Wings front, does anyone have any tips for the "be 34s in fever mode" challenge? I seem to have hit a wall on this one. I can manage to get a fever started quickly on the first island and keep it going and land it on the second island, but I seem to always screw up somewhere on the second island. Do the 34s need to be continuous seconds, or just total seconds?

PC Version Trailer.
I already did two full playthroughs... The only way I'd do another is if they added GameCenter achievements or new quests/lands or something.

Sadly, it has nothing to do with Idiocracy.

You're so close to clearing that next nest challenge. Just one more try and you'll get it for sure!
That sounds fucking terrible. I want to hug you.

I just got three objectives I'm having trouble meeting, so I've kind of plateaued.
