Dragon Age 2: Hi-Res in OP; Mark Spoilers, you filthy dog lords
God fucking damnit we all love Bioware don't we. That company could sit down and shit on paper and we'd think it was rainbows and goldilock'd lollipops. But Bioware's first great success was found in a series known as BALDUR'S GATE, which involved space hamsters and D&D and wonderful things that we all enjoyed.
Years later, Bioware ventured back to their roots in the form of Dragon Age, a critically acclaimed fantasy RPG that plays an awful lot like Baldur's Gate if you're playing it on PC and plays an awful lot like....something...if you're on a console. Either way, it's a BIOWARE GAME. They did so damn well with it, they made an expansion. Also apparently there's a sequel coming out this year or something.
Dragon Age is Bioware's new generic fantasy IP. There are orc things called Darkspawn that attack the world in the form of a Bee-light and these people called the Grey Wardens have to stop them because that's what Grey Wardens do best: fuck up darkspawns. These articles can't spoil plots but suffice to say there's some decision making in the game because it's a bioware game and you have to recruit all kinds of different factions to your cause and there's an expansion but I didn't play that so it's not canonically correct.
Bioware is making a sequel that comes out soon but you can't play things that aren't released so go play the original you dumb whore
Many of you have been asking when you can pre-load Dragon Age 2 onto your machines. Pre-loading happens with digital versions of DA2 and is installing the game so it is ready to play once the unlock time arrives. Pre-loading is not available from all retailers. Check with your retailer to see if they offer pre-loading. You have also been asking when the game will unlock so you can start playing, which applies to digital and retail PC copies. These pertain to PC versions and not to console versions of Dragon Age 2.
Pre-Loading is based on the region you live in. Pre-loading of digital versions begins at the following times:
Asia/Pacific region – 18:00 GMT on March 4th
Canada & United States – 18:00 GMT on March 4th
Russian Federation - 18:00 GMT on March 4th
Western Europe – 10:00 GMT March 7th
Australia & New Zealand – 09:00 GMT on March 8th
Central and South America - 10:00 GMT on March 8th
Eastern Europe – 10:00 GMT March 8th
Great Britain & Ireland – 10:00 GMT on March 8th
Unlocking is based on the official game release date for the region you live in. The PC versions, both digital and retail, will unlock beginning at the following times:
Asia/Pacific region – 0000h on March 8th
I love 2 handed warrior but damn it I have no tank now
I'm still rocking my mage and I made Nathan a ranger so I've always got a bear and a skeleton to throw at enemies
I need to respec all my guys though, and actually read what their spells do because I'm just cruising along letting my allies use tactics for the most part but I haven't played with their tactics at all really and eventually they'll start dying without management
I think the exagerated by varric thing can only justify so much
But I also don't think there is anything wrong with isabella being stacked as hell because she is a slutty pirate
I also also think that the Amaranthine constable is a big jerk who won't give me credit for killing the smugglers because I accepted the smugglers quests before I killed them
Specializations in this game seem way cooler than in the first one. I like that they get branches and shit instead of just one single path of abilities that aren't all that exciting or useful
Shapeshifting, I'm looking at you

man, jade empire
now there was a bioware game with good exploding bodies
I was always far enough away from the fight in DA:O that it never got annoying for me. Also I was spamming living bomb all day
naw, in the following segments you gotta put a little effort into it but apparently it still happens

combat in the first game is like if you slowed the combat down from 2 and took most of the flashy looking movements from warriors and rogues
I think the graphics look good, the character animations (especially the mouth movements) seem way better
Standard improvements in shaders and the like.
The DX11 features will probably be upping the ante a bit.
Though I reckon you'll still have many ass textures roaming around.
I hope they hired somebody who knows how to animate hands better.
One of the unifying features of Bioware games past couple of years has been claw-hands.
But I also don't think there is anything wrong with isabella being stacked as hell because she is a slutty pirate
I also also think that the Amaranthine constable is a big jerk who won't give me credit for killing the smugglers because I accepted the smugglers quests before I killed them
this is bioware. the makers of mass effect ass
but I ain't see the problem
Shapeshifting, I'm looking at you
finally casters don't look stupid as fuck in those damn hats
Looks like Mike Patton will be coming back to The Darkness 2.
Here's a preview of the game.
I never finished DA1 cause it was soooo boring and I am trying to remedy that today but fuck is it sooo boring.
