Bastion from Supergiant Games: Most beautiful isometric game ever!
I have an unhealthy obsession with isometric games, and this is the most beautiful isometric game I've ever seen. The art is hand drawn and amazing. Since it was apparently first shown at PAX I thought there would have been a thread about it here, but I didn't find one in a web search.
Threads like this seem to fall into oblivion on this forum besides you folks are very community oriented and seem to like to talk about the same games every day, please reply to this and show some love to indie games
I like how it seems the narrator is basically telling the story of your actions retro-actively as you play the game, like he's reciting it to someone in the future. Neat trick, that.
The narrator also sounds like he's reading off the story of a grungy old western.
"The kid finds a memento from a girl he knew. Always used to fancy 'er."
Edit: I take it back, the aesthetics of the game seem very western, with a weird, fantasy post-apoc feel, it seems. This looks like it'd be worth a buy.
PSN, XBLA & PC (Steam, I guess) apparently. Though I'm not sure if they'll all get it at the same time.

I really like that narration mechanic. Very fun and seems like it'll ground you in the game like you're listening to an audiobook as you play, a great idea for an arpg.
Hey, the release date is this summer. I'm one of the devs. We haven't announced the exact date and platforms yet but that should be pretty soon. The game will be playable at PAX East if you'd like to give it a go.
I'm still floored this is being done with such a small team...I looked at the Bios on website and there are...6 people? 7?? Really amazing work, can tell the love you folks are putting into it.
Love the visuals, but the narrator started to grate before I even finished the gameplay video.
Then the harvester returned to base with some tiberium...
It is a very good looking game, but the gameplay itself seems really simplistic, and judging from all the Giant Bomb demos, there are way too many enemies with way too much health. I'm worried about the pacing and if it can sustain itself over a long period.
Probably going to buy it either way.

All creature will die and all the things will be broken. That's the law of samurai.

PSN? XLBA? DS network? Wii store? PC?
Same here, and the art style.
As will I. The more I watch the trailer, the more excited I get. Is there going to be any Metroidvania action? That would just make my day.
