Kingdom Hearts sells far more because of the Disney part then the SquareEnix part.

Any sales numbers? I usually take 'shipped' as "hey guys our CD manufacturing speeds are super quick!". Yes I know there's supply and demand and all that but still.

nada, which is one reason I'm MAYBE going to tack it onto my daily newsbrief at Gamasutra, but am not making a big deal about it. However, i guess at least with the earlier 2 games, maybe we can assume those reflect sell through numbers. *shrug*

How do those numbers compare to Final Fantasy 10 and Dragon Warrior 8?

    according to vgcharts.org:

    FF XII
    US: 1,026,000
    Japan: 2,368,250

    Dragon Quest 8
    US: 591,500
    Japan: 3,609,000

For some reason the US numbers for these games is only through November, December isn't available.

Anyway, Kingdom Hearts is about as big as Final Fantasy in the US, but a bit smaller (though still a big hit) in Japan.
