So a few months ago, I posted that my computer had stopped working. The power supply was making a nice weird little noise and it failed to post.

After getting a new PSU, motherboard, and memory I've reached where I am now. The computer powers on for maybe a few seconds then gives. No post, no BIOS, no nothing. So, what's my next course of action?

Specs:
AMD Athlon 64 3400
ASUS A8N5X (new)
1GB DDR400 (new)
eVGA 256MB nVidia Geforce 7600GT
600W PSU (new)

No BIOS? That is really weird. Pull out the hard drive and see if anything happens. You've pretty much built a new computer there minus a new CPU. Those two are next on the list I guess.

I pulled the hard drive and it still gave me issues. I have a new CPU on the way from NewEgg.

Fuck I hate throwing money at this shit.

could be a defective motherboard. When my computer stopped posting i tried a bunch of things, but it turned out the motherboard died.

Do you have the voltage set properly on your power supply?

Use the jumpers on the mobo to flash the bios, then report back.
